Export Justice
not jails

The U.S. is the largest funder of international criminal justice aid, often exporting the same failed policies that sparked the Black Lives Matter, decarceration and justice reform movements in the U.S.

The “Export Justice Not Jails” campaign is fighting against the spread of abusive criminal justice practices.

The U.S. is the largest funder of international criminal justice aid, providing at least $5.2 billion USD of international assistance funding from 2013-2022.

This funding often supports the exporting of the same failed policies that resulted in the U.S.’ mass incarceration crisis and sparked the Black Lives Matter movement and broader criminal justice reform movement in the U.S.
